Greetings and welcome to the United Methodist Men of Thousand Oaks!

Our ministry of men seeks to study, fellowship and invite and initiate spiritual growth opportunities for all men in Thousand Oaks, and the Conejo Valley.
Our Ministry exists to REACH men, CONNECT them with other men, help them GROW as fully devoted followers of Christ, in order that they will SERVE God with their spiritual gifts, and HONOR Him with their lives. The statistics show that if we reach the men for Christ, the family will follow.

Jesus is our model for servant leadership and discipleship. Men have the Biblical duty to be the spiritual leaders of their households. We all desperately need connection and help sustaining balance in our lives.

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17
Any person of the MALE persuasion is invited to participate in the United Methodist Men fellowship at UMC Thousand Oaks!  We have approximately 25 "active" members regularly attending retreats and bible studies, CTM (Corn Toss Ministry), Harvest food-share program and other events throughout the year.

Please contact Bill Williams, faithmadereal@aol.com, or Tom Maddux, thomas.maddux@csun.edu, for further information.

3. Harvest Food Share Program

The Harvest Food Share program has grown significantly since it's humble beginnings a few years ago.  Church members and members of other congregations and denominations across the Conejo Valley come together weekly to collect, repackage, date-stamp and distribute unused food from various local restaurants and coffee shops.  Donations come from Foodshare in Ventura; Wal-Mart, Trader Joe's, Sprouts, Smart & Final and Vons grocery stores; L.A. Foods, Pizza Hut, Noah’s Bagels, Panera Breads, Cheesecake Factory & Olive Garden restaurants; and various Starbucks coffee shops.
Food Forward is a significant source of fresh produce along with produce donated by the Thursday Thousand Oaks Farmers Market.  The UMCTO kitchen is a busy place on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.  Contact Tom Maddux at thomas.maddux@csun.edu to join the merry crew!
